We found this picture online and loved it! This was our inspiration but we didn't have a lot of time and our budget was small so we improvised. Below is what we came up with on short order.
We used 4 pieces of PVC pipe, 1 Y connector and 2 elbow connectors. We had a lot of grid wall on hand. Attached a straw beach mat to each and added inexpensive silk flowers. The fringe on top was made from a roll of brown paper from the dollar store. The Tiki totem pole decorations also came from the dollar store. This took about 1/2 hour to put together. We found a beach backdrop for $3.00 and put it up on the side of a building and took pictures of all the party goers "on the beach". The effect was surprisingly realistic!
